The B-BBEE scorecard addresses some of these challenges by recognizing diversity in the workplace under the Management Control and Skills Development pillars. There is a particular focus, among other things, on the representation of women in the workplace.
As gender inequality worsens, corporations cannot afford to remain complacent. It is urgent that we drive gender diversity and inclusion as a priority; and equip ourselves with tools to build inclusive spaces in our organisations; and ultimately our communities.
The diversity dividend:

Focusing on diversity alone is not beneficial. Companies must intentionally cultivate inclusion. An inclusive organisation inspires a sense of belonging and cohesiveness increased employee engagement healthy, empowering organisational culture.
Diversity and Inclusion is not just essential for business success, it is an especially vital component of address the worsening inequality that constantly underscores the currently fragile social cohesion in our organisations, communities, and country.
