Employment Equity Amendment Bill Status Update

Have you been following the proposed Employment Equity (EE) Amendment Bill? Would you like to learn more about how to implement the various changes and ensure compliance? Then this webinar is for you!

The proposed amendments to the EE Act introduce various changes to the compliance requirements that aim to encourage employers to increase representation across their organisations.

In a recent update, the Department of Employment and Labour provided insight into the current state of the EE Amendment Bill. The passing of the Bill into law, together with the release of sectoral targets was anticipated within the first quarter of 2022, but is now likely to be finalised by March 2023.

Transcend is hosting a webinar on Friday 20 May to address the implications of the changes proposed in the EE Amendment Bill on corporates.

The webinar discussion will cover the following:

  •  A brief summary of the proposed changes and how they are set to enforce compliance above the imposition of fines.
  • The promulgation of the EE Compliance Certificate, which will undoubtedly take center stage as a key ticket for doing business in South Africa.
  • The potential risks to the BBBEE scorecard, and to the ability to participate in state contracts and other supplier opportunities without an EE Compliance Certificate.
  • The importance of structuring company policies and procedures appropriately in order to mitigate risk to the business, employees, and clients.
  • Human Capital experts will be on hand to take some of your most burning questions.

We will have a Q&A session with our speakers so please remember to submit your questions on your registration form

Transcend can also assist through our vast EE product offering, namely:

  • Assistance in the development of EE plans
  • Assisting clients in the preparation and submission of EE reports to the Department of Employment Labour

Please join our webinar to understand how the proposed changes will be implemented, and how to proactively prepare your organization to ensure EE compliance.
